Celebrate Recovery: God is...Weep and be glad

Blessed are those who weep, for they shall be comforted.
Matthew 5:4
What if? What if there really is a God? What if that God revealed himself to mankind? What if mankind was supposed to reflect the character of that God and didn't? What if?
If we earnestly believe that God exists, that we matter to him, and that he has the power to help us recover from our brokenness, then we can be well on our way towards healing. Do you believe that God is?

Celebrate Recovery: Powerless without Jesus

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of God. Matthew 5:3
I'm an addict. I'm addicted to sin. And so are you. The Bible calls this our sin nature. That there are areas of our life that we simply are ashamed of, don't like, and wish no one would ever know about us reveals this truth about ourselves. It is to this point that Jesus says we are "blessed" if we are "poor in spirit". We realize we are not God and are spiritual bankrupted before him. It is only at this starting point that we can find genuine recovery.

The Idols We Keep

March 1:14-15  Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God,  (15)  and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.""Repentance" is often a term referred to as being only for "Hell fire" preaching term. We Wait For Him

Isaiah 25:9  It will be said on that day, "Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation."What are you waiting for right now? A better job? Better marriage? Better health? Are you waiting for circumstances to be different or a different outcome to events in your life? When all is done, Isaiah 25:9 tells us we won't be declaring those things. We'll be declaring "BEHOLD! Unto Us a Child Is Born

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. Isaiah 9:6Imagine you were the only person in the world with the ability to see. How would you tell people about the sun?
